Toad in the Hole

Mr P made an absolutely delicious toad in the hole last night.

We didn't have enough plain flour and on ringing my mum she said to "steer clear" of self-raising flour, however Mr P took a chance.. and boy it paid off!

The sausages (Tesco finest Cumberland) were nice, a tad peppery perhaps but pretty tasty. The yorkshire pudding rose beautifully around the little porkies and was slighty crispy on top however still soft and doughy underneath.

It was quite simply delicious.

We had it with just gravy, peas and a little bit of Dijon mustard. I shall attempt to post a pic when I have figured out how.

I am very much looking forward to tonight's evening meal, we're going to have some beef kebabs and Mr P made a little rosemary marinade for the beef last night which it has been resting in ever since, so there are high expectations.
